If you were anything like me as a kid you were probably counting down the days until summer vacation began.
As an adult I am not much different, I am always counting down the days to my favorite season of the year. The time where things move a little slower, you can enjoy the beautiful sunshine, have a cocktail with friends, enjoy the bounty from the local farmer's market and breath a little deeper.
This is how I always plan on my summers to go, but the best laid plans, am I right? By the middle of July, I am so over scheduled with parties, family events and work I keep pushing all the fun stuff I want to do. Even though I occasionally miss the freedom we had as kids, there are still wonderful ways to enjoy the summer together as adults.
I created our Summer Wellness Challenge as a way to stop, breath deep and enjoy the little things this summer. Let's enjoy the simple pleasures of the season while still doing fun healthy activities.
